Today (05.06.2014) in Poznan I will be promoting my new publication, Between Hours, a part of the Photographers of Greater Poland series. It is a series of interviews with photographers from the region. Mine is issue 23 (is it a coincidence that it was a number on the shirt of my childhood hero Michael Jordan ;))? I saw the book yesterday and I am really happy with the printing. I mean, my images are rather dark in general, but Wladek Nielipinski from WBPiCAK made sure they look exactly the same as the files I've send him.
The event take place at the WBPiCAK Gallery in Poznan. If you are in the area please join me, It would be great to see you there.
Before I move on to another matter, here are some links you could check out. My profile on WBPiCAK website and the book itself in the PDF format.
Tomorrow (06.06.2014) in Bristol my book City - The Season will be exhibited at Photbook Bristol 2014. The list of exhibitors is truly great and I am really happy that my work will be surrounded by the greatest.
The book will be available for both, viewing and buying.
25.06.2014 at Ffotogallery in Penarth there will be the preview of At Home He's A Tourist, which is a group exhibition, a part of new season of Wish You Were Here. WYWH 2014 is a series of exhibitions and meetings with emerging photographers working and living in Wales.
I will be showing a sample of Here I am (Autobiography). In October 2014 the project will have its premier as a solo show and its premier in Poland during the Second Grerater Poland Photography Festival (I will get back to this info when the time is right). Anyway, I hope I will see you in Penarth on 25th of June and also during Talking Shop sessions (03.07.2014), which is a conversation with the exhibited artists.
28.06.2014 in Aberyswyth, Wales I will be signing my City - The Season book during The Eye International Photography Festival.
It will take place in The Box, and here is how the organisers describe what else will happen there:
A mini viewing room in the main Arts Centre foyer showing artists' films, which will be showing a special linked programme of work over the weekend of the festival.
The original trustees of Third Floor Gallery Joni Karanka, Maciej Dakowicz and Bartosz Nowicki are becoming international photographers in their own right with published work, exhibitions and books taken in and around Cardiff and beyond including Cardiff at Night and City - The Season. Some of this exciting work will be shown in The Box with a book signing by Bartosz Nowicki's City - The Season taking place on Saturday morning.
More info about the festival can be found here.
